Taking an Active Role

We need volunteers. There is no way that we could raise as much money as we have without the support of members of the community. "My philosophy is that my child has received so much from this preschool that I want to give of my time to support the organization," Lori Gordon said.

Advocates:
We need your voices in the community letting people know that we are so much more than just a preschool. Hundreds of LSU students come through the doors of our building everyday learning how to be better teachers, psychologists, social scientists, and parents. In addition, we serve as the model for the rest of the state. You hear so much about the push for a 4-year-old program in our public schools. Our faculty members have the knowledge and the expertise to train those teachers and help in the planning of those web programs.

Recruiters:
We take any and every volunteer that you can find. Encourage others to become involved with our organization. If nothing else, encourage them to participate in our fundraising events. We don't have very many, so we need to make them count.

Fundraisers:
We need you to help us raise money. Some of you may only be capable of donating your time and your recruiting talents. That's fine. Some of you would prefer to simply make a monetary donation. We are simply looking for your support in whatever way you can help us.

If you'd like to help the preschool in some way, please contact Dr. Joan Benedict (JBenedict@agcenter.lsu.edu) or Carol Aghayan (CAghayan@agcenter.lsu.edu).
